A user commented on the issue of this app not working (and similar cases where the file is damaged… error);

The problem is actually Mac Gatekeeper. You can disable Gatekeeper with the following command in Mac Terminal:
sudo spctl --master-disable
by order
spctl --master-status
You can be sure about the status of the concierge.
The following commands can also be reactivated
spctl --master-enable
In this case, I restarted Gatekeeper a few minutes after disabling texpad and it works fine.
