Citrix XenServer 6.2 - Download

Description

XenServer is one of the most powerful virtualization software in the world. The program has grown alongside giants such as VMWare vSphere and Hyper-V and has won many fans around the world for its open source code. All features of this program are open source and free. Many world famous data centers use this software for free and because of its functionality. The program can provide a platform for servers to divide the power of a powerful system into virtual systems and provide it to users.

When you get a virtual server from your hosting, you actually get the different plans that these virtual machines offer. For example, if our server has 64 GB of RAM. We can offer different plans to users by sharing RAM between virtual servers. Like its competitors, it offers a full admin dashboard that lets you monitor the status of your servers. See memory, CPU, disk and more. Turn each server on or off with one click. Install the desired operating system on them and many other common tasks. This product was developed by the American company Citrix, which has been active in the field of servers and computer networks, remote control systems and cloud computing and virtualization products.

required system

XenServer Compatibility:

processors
One or more 64-bit x86 processors, at least 1.5 GHz, 2 GHz or faster multi-core processor is recommended.

An Intel VT or AMD-V 64-bit x86-based system with one or more processors is required to support VMs running Windows.

Note. To run Windows VMs, the XenServer host must have virtualization support hardware enabled. This is a BIOS option. Note that virtualization support may be disabled in your BIOS. See your BIOS documentation for more information.
Paravirtualized Linux requires a standard 64-bit x86-based system with one or more processors to support running supported VMs.

RAM
At least 2 GB, 4 GB or more recommended

Disk space
Locally attached storage (PATA, SATA, SCSI) with a minimum of 16 GB of disk space, 60 GB of disk space recommended, or via a SAN HBA (not via software) if you are installing from SAN with multipath boot (see the XenServer HCL Solutions for a detailed list of compatible storage devices).

The product installation creates two 4 GB partitions for the XenServer host control domain.

to the network
100Mbit/s or faster NIC. One or more gigabit NICs are recommended for faster P2V and data export/import and live VM migration.

Multiple NICs are recommended for redundancy. The configuration of the NICs depends on the storage type. See vendor documentation for details.
