Description
FlexPDE is a general purpose software for obtaining numerical solutions of two or three dimensional partial differential equations. This program is based on the finite element method and can solve fixed or time-dependent problems. FlexPDE is a numerical and finite element model constructor. That is, from a script written by the user, FlexPDE performs the operations necessary to convert a system description of discrete differential equations into a finite element model. Slow and graphical output and tabular outputs provide results. FlexPDE is also a problem solving environment. It provides a complete set of features needed to solve partial-scale differential equations: a script editor, a mesh generator for finite-scale meshes, a finite element solver for finding solutions, and a system.
